Abstract
The Denver Chapter of Hadassah was organized in 1915. Hadassah is a Zionist organization that combine the Jewish emphasis on social welfare with the ideology of Zionism. The Denver Chapter continues to support Israel and to promote health awareness, education, and Zionist youth programs. The minutes, programs, publications, and scrapbooks and scrapbooks reflect the history of a Jewish women's organization with programs in Israel and Denver.

This collection details the Grünfeld Heimann family Holocaust stories. Kurt Heimann and Lotte Grünfeld Heimann married in 1938 and took a train with family to Shanghai in 1940 to escape Nazi violence. They survived in the Shanghai Ghetto alongside thousands of other European Jewish refugees until they were able to relocate in 1948. Abstract
Russian Jewish immigrants Samuel Castille and Zelda Goldberg Rosen settled on Denver's west side and raised 13 children. Their daughter Clara Rosen married Joseph Rosen and they had four children including Selma Rosen who married Osi Sladek. Joseph Rosen began selling newspapers in Denver at the age of seven, starting out as a helper for his future brothers-in-law Max and Al Rosen.
